Calculation of the norm .. enthaplyof hydration?
Use the following information to calculate the enthalpy of hydration of ions Potassium Cl (less) (g) ----> Cl (less) (aq) = -364 kJ mol KCl (s) ----> K (more) (g) + Cl (less) (g KCl) = 718 kJ 'Todo (s) ----> K (more) (aq) + Cl (less) (aq) = 17 kJ mol "the figures are for change in enthalpy of hydration. YES PLEASE HELP!
His objective is the equation of potassium + water ---> potassium hydroxide in the high-level equation can remain as is. Reverse the other 2 equations, so the potassium is on the reagent. You get -718 and -17, respectively. then did (-718) + (-17) + (-364) How do you respond?
